Discuss Halo 3 here. My favorite equipment would have to be the Bubble shield. The power drainer just pisses me off, especially on Construct.

Although the bubble shield is my favorite too.
I only have 3-4 Offline Achievements to get now.. they're the "Get 15,000 Points" ones..

Yes! I just got the Covenant Achievement for 50,000 points..
I finished with with somewhere around 69,500..
I used the following skulls:
No Radar Skull
Make every saving throw skull
Catch skull
I beat it on Heroic.. Imagine the Points I could get on Legendary o_O

What are the tricks to being really good in Halo 3 Multiplayer?
Map awareness and aim are the most important factors.
Make a conscious and concerted effort to think about where the weapons are and where the traffic patterns are.
LOOK where people are likely to be instead of where you are going. If the means you’re always running sideways and backwards then so be it.
AIM where people might appear, if you’re heading up a ramp you shouldn’t be aiming at the ramp. Aim chest-level at edge of the doorway at the top of the ramp where someone might appear.
When you see someone on your radar try to picture where they could be on the map. This will help you get them jump on them, or even surprise them with an around-the-corner grendade.
What controller sensitively should I get used to? 10?
Probably no more than 5 for accuracy. Some people like high sensitivity so they can turn and respond to fire quickly, but that just means they suck at map awareness and they’re constantly being surprised.
Against a good player if you get surprised you’re probably already dead, you should focus on getting away instead of trying to win the fight (unless you have rockets or something that kills instantly)… A good player also won’t surprise you with a weapon that’s not appropriate for the range.
What weapons do more damage at the head versus the body?
Battle Rifle, Carbine, Pistol and Snipers are headshot weapons. Those weapons (except the sniper) only kill when the shields are down. For spread shot weapons like the BR it’s better to put the first few shots into the body and then move to the head once the shields are down.
All other weapons should be shot at the body. Rockets should be shot at the feet.
What is the secret to being a good grenadier?
Map awareness and practice, learn what angle you have to assume to get the correct distance for any given throw.
Remember that some grenades bounce and some stick. Ricocheting a frag grenade into an unseen space is very useful. If you’re trying to kill someone you can’t see then throw more than one.
Only throw a grenade at someone that can shoot you if you surprise them or if your gun is useless. Stopping and throwing a grenade halfway through an equal fire fight is a good way to lose the fight.
RETREAT: Get around a corner, and then turn around and use grenades to spam your escape route. A lot of players will pursue around corners to finish the kill, and get blown up.
How do you use the battle rifle successfully?
Body Body Body, Head. Always be strafing, and use your strafing to make minute adjustments to your aim.
What weapons work well dual wielded?
Dual wieldable ones. Double maulers are ridiculous for camping closed spaces with lots of blind corners. Narrows is a good dual mauler map.
How do you use vehicles effectively?
Practice.
What is the best way to melee from front?
Learn effectiveness range and melee first.
How exactly does EXP increase?
If you are in the top 49% of any hopper game, ranked or unranked, you will get XP. If there are 16 people you just need to be number 8 or higher.
How do you gain EXP the fastest?
Play in all the hoppers, ranked and unranked. Even unranked hoppers have an invisible “skill” to keep you from picking on newbs. If you spread out your gaming you can get XP from the lower levels of all hoppers.
On Solo Slayer, is it based on getting in top X place?
Top 49%
Does Ranked VS Matchmaking make any difference in gaining EXP?
No, but at the higher officer levels you need to have corresponding skill levels to “rank” up. Otherwise you could have a 2000 XP, but since you’re below 10 in highest skill you might be some lieutenant still or something.

When thinking about map awareness:
Keep the opposing team in front of you.
Don’t let them flank you from the sides or sneak up behind you.
On the flip side, spend your time trying to flank/sneak up behind them. Surprising someone from behind is the easiest way to kill them.
Practice driving the vehicles on custom games. For the warthog, pay careful attention to how you can use the emergency brake to tighten your turn radius.
When driving the warthog in combat situation, NEVER STOP.
Think about driving from one area of cover to another area of cover, letting your gunner mow down whatever he can during the time you’re exposed between the two areas of cover.
Once you get to the 2nd area of cover, pause by circling around for a bit to let shields recharge, then go back.
Don’t go through the same path enough times that your opponent will get wise to you & lay down a mine or be ready to stick you.
Think defensive. Spend more time worried about keeping yourself alive than killing other stuff. The killing will take care of itself.
Beware the overcharged plasma pistol / power drainer.
If you hear the missile lock-on noise, it’s time to get something between you and the missiles immediately. Don’t try to sweat it out, it won’t work.
Setup custom game types of SWAT to force you to focus on practicing headshots. Headshots are the most efficient way to take down an enemy, both in terms of the amount of time it takes to take them down, and in the amount of ammo you use to do it (assuming you don’t soften them up first with a grenade or something).

Another warthog driving trick: If you are punishing a simi-fixed target do figure 8’s or a tight dog track back and forth to keep the gunner at a good angle. The gun can pan just as fast as the hog can fishtail so keep the turning radius really tight by using the rear brake and never letting off the gas. If someone throws something in your path (grenade, trip mine, small child) it’s really easy to just abandon that leg of the figure 8 and drive away.
Meh it's kinda okay advice. Nothing I've never Tried :/

The advice is good. I don't like Epitaph at all. That map is the biggest noob map I've ever seen in Halo. People just grab all 3 power guns and camp at the lift next to the Bubble Shield it's f**king retarded. As soon as you go up the ramp there's a shotgun guy in the Bubble Shield and you can't kill him because you can't touch him.

One went for the Rocket Launcher, one grabbed the Shotgun, and it was just a retard-fest, because Everyone (not including me) that didn't have a power weapon ran into the places where the guys with the power weapons were >_<

You can't even hit people because of all the doors. And if you think 2 people are bad you should see 15 people trying to monopolize the map and get their noob weapons first. I just made a new version of Epitaph called Tomb. It gets rid of most noob weapons and replaces them with weapons that take more skill. Instead of Rockets I put Laser and for Hammer I put Fuel Rod.

Anyways here's how to do it
It's pretty neat. I used it last night.. I haven't tried the whole "Pan Camera" thing yet though :/
Anyways here's how to do it
This was first discovered by turk a few minutes ago. He was messing around with the controls trying to do the machinima "put
away weapon" command when he stumbled apon the debug cam option.
He first thought it to be LB+RB+A+Lstick+Dpadup
This displays coordinators and cam mode
It does work but only in local games and films. Heres what interested me. After messing with it for a while I found all the features. Here they are.
Press
Lstick+Rstick+Dpad down/right
This = ON
Again = OFF
Press
Lstick+Rstick+Dpad up/left
This toggles cam modes
Normal
Pan-Cam
up Dpad = faster cam
down Dpad = slower cam
As far as I can tell the modes really do not do much for you but let me know what you guys think.
Left stick + Right stick + D-pad right = coordinates off
Left stick + Right stick + D-pad left = switch between normal and pan cam
No need to hold anything; it toggles right away. It only seems to be instant if you do the LB + RB + LS + A + UP (hold 3
seconds) thing first, though.
i found out the difference between the pan cam and normal. It effect freecam in theater. If you go to pan cam mode it changes the controls of the camera. the triggers will now control you hight, bumbers dont do anything that im aware of.
up/down on the dpad will change your camera speed.
You wont fly where you look, you will stay on the same plane so even if you look striaght down you will move forward as if in player mode.
It's pretty neat. I used it last night.. I haven't tried the whole "Pan Camera" thing yet though :/

I found glitch before in Halo3 you need a smg press B and shot it will make shot noise without shooting

Foundry is really cool I made a Soccer game with it in Forge. You can spawn Soccer Balls and shield doors like in Epitaph and Snowbound.

Halo 3 Server shutting down for good. Hacker got in Bungie Server so Halo 3. Might be fix a while. 
Good thing i quit Halo 3 because i see lots of hacker playing.

They find Bungie code to Acess to the server with there Super Legal Mod chip i don't know how they got in there Server wow they so mean. It wont let me play matchmaking all my map is gone for some reason.

I miss Halo 2. That was a good game.
All of the glitches, and secrets, and out-of-bounds exploring.
Can't do that in halo 3. Nope. They had to put in stupid kill zones >_<
I want the Scarab Gun to be in Halo 3 as well.
And I miss Coagulation, and headlong, and Beaver Creek.
*sigh* oh well.

Well., yes they are making halo wars, but technically that is set before the events of Halo 1.
If you have beaten Halo 3 on legendary then you would have seen the "Legendary Ending" which is basically just Chief and Cortona's ship flipping through space, heading towards a mysterious planet called Onyx (I'm not even kidding about this)
The planet is made entirely of Sentinels. I'm still not sure how this is, because in the book (ghosts of Onyx) they travel through temples and stuff, unless all that crap was built on top of the sentinels...
Anyhoo, There are 3 Spartans, and (i think) 3 Spartan III's, a quicker stealthier version of the Spartan II's.
Also Chief Mendez, and Dr. Hasley (cortona's creator), are still there.
^ they are all inside some interdimensional bubble thing, that is inside Onyx (confusing, I know).
Anyways... back to the plot... The sentinels have started Moving around, making more and more of themselves, and they're doing something.
There's a big mystery to be solved, as the Spartans & Crew are stuck inside this bubble that stayed open for thousands of years, and finnaly just locked. This could mean there is a possibility of finding FORERUNNERS!!!

That, and halo 3 made so much money, it would be stupid not to make a halo 4.
